We provide continuing education courses for insurance adjusters, facilities managers, and HSE professionals. Our CE courses are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to manage a small water loss situation.
In our Water Mitigation course, students are trained in the proper use of both the drying equipment as well as the testing instruments, and learn why standard coolant dehumidifiers cannot dry buildings in post hurricane situations without air conditioning.
In our Microbial Decontamination course, students are taught to differentiate between the various types of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites), the different ways the US EPA rates chemicals that kill the microorganisms, and why some pesticides are harmful when used in indoor environments — especially HVAC systems.
Course availability is based on a first come, first served basis — up to 16 attendees per class. Classes are usually held the first week of every month, call for schedule.

A. Drying Theory
Liquid to vapor change, heat of vaporization, grains of moisture, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, atmospheric moisture content, heat.
B. The Drying Process
Stop the source, determine boundaries, physical extraction, blocking contents, liquid to vapor removal, and monitoring.
C. Drying Hands On
Moisture mapping with meter & infra-red camera, equipment set up.

Extractors, conventional dehumidifiers, LGR dehumidifiers, LGR-HT dehumidifiers, desiccants, heat drying
Microbial Decontamination course (27229)
A. Basic Microbiology
Discussion of viruses, bacteria, fungi & parasites; focus will be on organisms that affect buildings and their occupants.
B. EPA Definitions
Discussion of sanitizers, cleaners, disinfectants and sterilizers and why it is important to know the differences.
C. MRSA Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Discussion of how to deal with this growing threat.
D. ASA-1000
State-of-the-art disinfectant that is safe for humans.
